Question 71037: I'm not sure that I have done this correctly. I substituted the answer for X and the equation is false. Can you tell me where I went wrong?
X/6 + 2X/3 = X/2 + 3 (move variable left)
X/6 + 2X/3 - X/2 = 3
X/6 + 4X/6 - 3X/6 = 3 (find LCD)
2X/6 = 3
X = 3 x 6/2
X = 9
