Question 685432: Hey so I'm doing explorations into variables and I really don't get it so I was wondering if I got this problem right and if I didn't could you please explain what I did wrong and how to fix it? Thank you!
Problem below.
2x+1=3x
I minused 2x from 2x and 3x then I dropped the 1 so now it is 1=1x then what I did is I divided both of them by 1x and then I got x=1
Is this right because it doesn't to me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+1=3x
----------
Subtract 2x
1 = x
x = 1
------
Don't try for a doctorate on it.
