Question 67813: Simplify (2x - 3) + (-x-2)
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2x-3)+(-x-2)
remove the () from the first term thus
(2x-3)=2x-3
now remove the () from the second term thus
(-x-2)=-x-2
now combine all like terms thus
2x-3-x-2
(2x-x) & (-3-2)
x-5
HOPE THIS HELPS EXPLAIN THE PROCESS FOR REMOVING () AND ADDING LIKE TERMS.
