You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi, I need help in simplifying the following:
1. 3(x + 5) + 11
2. 8(x + 4) - (x - 5)
3. 28((1/4)z + (1/7))
Is it just simplifying? Then...
OK. For the first one:
1. 3(x+5)+11
=3(x+5)= 3x+15
=3x+15+11=
=3x+26
-----
2. 8(x+4)-(x-5)
=8(x+4)=8x+32
=8x+32-(x-5)
=8x+32-x+5 <-- Remember of the negative before parenthesis changes ALL OF THE
NUMBERS
=7x+37
-----
3. 28[(1/4)z + (1/7)] <-- I prefer brackets.
=28[1/4z+1/7]
= +
=7z+4
I hope you get what I did here...

I like math. Do you?
