Question 670684: have i done this right?
the equation is -2%28x-3%29=3%28x-7%29

-2x-5=3x-21
-3x -3x
-5x-5=-21
+5 +5
-5x=-27
-5x\5=-27\5
x=-5.4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

-2%28x-3%29=3%28x-7%29.....first,%28x-3%29 multiply by -2; that means multiply x by -2 and multiply -3 by -2
-2%2Ax-3%2A%28-2%29=3%28x-7%29........be careful with signs:
recall that (+)(+)=+
(+)*(+)=+
(-)*(+)=-
(+)*(-)=-
(-)*(-)=+
-2x%2B6=3%28x-7%29....do same on right side
-2x%2B6=3x-7%2A3%29
-2x%2B6=3x-21%29...move -2x to the right side (note that it will change sign and become 2x) and {{-21}}} to the left side note that it will change sign and become 21)

21%2B6=3x%2B2x%29

27=5x%29......divide by 5

27%2F5=x%29

5.4=x%29
