Then let E be the expenses where E= 1500 + .80d
And let R be the revenue where R = 1.59d.
Find d such that R > E.
So 1.59d > 1500+.80d
Subtract .80d on both sides:
.79d > 1500
d > 1898.734
We can only sell an integer amount of DVDs, so we must sell 1899 DVDs a day to make a profit.
