6%28x%2B%281%2Fcross%286%29%29x%29=6%2828%29 Multiply both sides by the LCD 6 to clear any fractions.


6x%2Bx=168 Distribute and multiply.


7x=168 Combine like terms on the left side.


x=%28168%29%2F%287%29 Divide both sides by 7 to isolate x.


x=24 Reduce.
