5%2B3x=7%28x%2B3%29 Start with the given equation.

5%2B3x=7x%2B21 Distribute.

3x=7x%2B21-5 Subtract 5 from both sides.

3x-7x=21-5 Subtract 7x from both sides.

-4x=21-5 Combine like terms on the left side.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5+3x=7(x+3)
5+3x=7x+21
3x-7x=21-5
-4x=16
Divide by -4 both sides
-4x/-4=16/-4
x=-4

Check
=====
5+3x=7(x+3)
Put x=-4
5+3(-4)=7(-4+3)
5-12=7(-1)
-7=-7
