Multiply both sides by (2x+6) and you have
x = -50(2x+6)
x = -100x - 300
x + 100x = -300
101x = -300
x = %28-300%29%2F101
x = -2.9703

combine like terms
6x - 8x - 3x = 75
-5x = 75
divide both sides by -5
