Question 621040: I know this should be basic, but I need help proving that this answer is true. I have the equation [(1+sqrt5)/(2sqrt5)] - [(1-sqrt5)/(2sqrt5)] = 1. I know the answer is 1, but when I try to work it out, I keep getting an answer of zero. Please help me fix my algebra mistakes so the answer on the left becomes 1.
