You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You CANNOT divide by zero.

So the denominator 9w+8 CANNOT be zero. If it were, then

9w+8 = 0

solve for w to get

9w+8 = 0

9w = -8

w = -8/9


So the value w = -8/9 makes the denominator zero, which is what we do NOT want (since we do NOT want to divide by zero).


So the value -8%2F9 makes the rational expression undefined.
