Use order of operations (PEMDOS)

15%284%2B3x%29-8x=26-6%28x-9%29 first distribute the terms inside both sets of parens
%2815%2A4%29+%2B+%2815%2A3x%29+-+8x+=+26+-+%286x%29+%2B+%286%2A9%29 note that on the right side you had to change the sign on the (6*9) term since that is really (-6) * (-9)
60+%2B+45x+-+8x+=+26+-+6x+%2B+54 now collect like terms
60+%2B+37x+=+80+-+6x now isolate the terms with x in them from the contstant terms
