Question 57123: x=(9t^2-y^2)/(y-3t) Really having mixed attempts at this.
9t^2-y^2
x = --------
y-3t
Should be able to divide -3t into 9t^2 giving -3t and y into -y^2 giving -y
therefore the answer should be x=-3t-y but don't seem to get it. Am I right?
any help?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=(9t^2-y^2)/(y-3t)
x=[(3t-y)(3t+y)]/(y-3t))
x=-[(3t-y)(3t+y)]/(3t-y)
x=-[3t+y]
x=-3t-y
