v = l*w*h
w = 5
h = 2/3
v = 60
plug these values into the equation
60 = l*5*(2/3)
you must solve for l
multiply both sides of the equation by 3
180 = l*5*2
180 = l*10
divide both sides by 10
18 = l
that is the answer
check by putting 18 into the equation
60 = 18*5*(2/3)
(1/3)*18 = 6
(2/3)*18 = 12
substitute 12 for 18*(2/3)
60 = 5*12
60 = 60
OK
