2w=5w-5-10 Subtract 10 from both sides.


2w-5w=-5-10 Subtract 5w from both sides.


-3w=-5-10 Combine like terms on the left side.


-3w=-15 Combine like terms on the right side.


w=%28-15%29%2F%28-3%29 Divide both sides by -3 to isolate w.


w=5 Reduce.
