The slope of y = mx+b is m

The y-intercept of y = mx+b is (0,b)

In the case of , we see that m=3%2F4 and b=-2

So the slope is 3%2F4 and the y-intercept is (0,-2)

y=mx+b is the slope-intercept form of a linear equation. m is the slope, b is the y-intercept.

In this case m=3/4. That's the slope.

b = -2, that's the y-intercept.
