You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4x-2=-6-2x
+2x-4x-2=-6-2x+2x
(+2-4)x-2=-6+(-2+2)x
-2x-2=-6
-2x-2+2=-6+2
-2x=-4
-2x/-2=-4/-2
x=2
To check, plug your answer back into the original eqaution for x.
-4(2)-2=-6-2(2)
-8-2=-6-4
-10=-10 Yippee!!! We're right!
x=2 is the solution!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4x – 2 = -6 – 2x
Add 2x to each side of the equation.
-4x - 2 + 2x = -6 - 2x + 2x
-4x + 2x = -2x
-2x + 2x = 0
Therefore:
-2x - 2 = -6
Add 2 to each side of the equation.
-2x - 2 + 2 = -6 + 2
-2 + 2 = 0
-6 + 2 = -4
Therefore:
-2x = -4
Divide each side by -2
-2x/-2 = -4/-2
x = 2

Answer:
x = 2
