Question 510027: What are the steps to solve for h in this problem, I have been stuck on it for over an hour.
The volume of a right circular cone is given by V=1/3 ~r^2h. Approximate the value for h if ~=22/7, r=7 ft, and V=308.
I wrote it out as 308ft^3=(1/3)(22/7)(7ft^2)h
I have been trying to use the rules for solving 1st degree equations, but I am not getting close to the answer. Could you please help me by showing me the steps to get to h

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
looking at what you wrote out; the value of r is not squared, as it is in the formula for V
