You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6p-%285p%2B5%29=-8-2%28p%2B12%29 Start with the given equation.

6p-5p-5=-8-2p-24 Distribute.

p-5=-8-2p-24 Combine like terms on the left side.

p-5=-2p-32 Combine like terms on the right side.

p=-2p-32%2B5 Add 5 to both sides.

p%2B2p=-32%2B5 Add 2p to both sides.

3p=-32%2B5 Combine like terms on the left side.

3p=-27 Combine like terms on the right side.

p=%28-27%29%2F%283%29 Divide both sides by 3 to isolate p.

p=-9 Reduce.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:

So the solution is p=-9

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P=-9
6(-9)-(5x-9+5)=-14
-8-2(-9+12)=-14
make sense?
