QUESTION: The sum of a number and 2.
What does this mean? first what would it mean the sum of a number? there is no other number. and "and 2" what does that mean? add 2 subtract 2 divide multiply. I have no idea. Hope you can help thanks.

"Sum" is the result of addition.

Hence, the sum of a number (x) and 2 is just x+2.
