You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Just use some basic algebra operations
:
9 + 2.7t = -4.8t -6?
2.7t + 4.8t = -6 - 9
7.5t = - 15
t = %28-15%29%2F7.5
t = -2
Check solution in original equation, replace t with -2
:
1%2F2(5y+8) = 4y - 5
Get rid of that fraction, multiply both sides by 2
5y + 8 = 2(4y - 5)
5y + 8 = 8y - 10
5y - 8y = -10 - 8
-3y = -18
y has to be positive, multiply both sides by -1
3y = 18
y = 18%2F3
y = 6
Check this solution the same way
