Question 480562: Write the equation for this situation.
Durning the month of january, the depth,d, of snow in inches at the base of one ski resort could be approximated by adding 5 to twice the number of days,t, since december 31st. the graph the equation and use the graph to determine the depth of snow on january 15

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
december 31 = 0
jan 1 = 1
jan 2 = 2
jan 3 = 3
etc.
y = amount of snow
x = number of days since december 31st.
equation is:
y = 2*x + 5
graph would look like this:
graph%28300%2C300%2C-10%2C30%2C-10%2C90%2C2x%2B5%29
when x is equal to 15 (january 15th), the amount of snow on the ground will be equal to 2*15 + 5 = 35 inches.
