You can put this solution on YOUR website!
determine the measure of the vertical angles if one equals 3x + 38 and the other is 5x + 20.
----
Solve: 3x+38 = 5x+20
2x = 18
x = 9
---
3x + 38 = 27+38 = 65 degrees
5x+20 = 5*9+20 = 45+20 = 65 degrees

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the measure of the vertical angles if one equals 3x+%2B+38 and the other is 5x+%2B+20 is:
3x+%2B+38=5x+%2B+20
38-20=5x-3x
18=2x
18%2F2=x
9=x
the measure of the angle 3x+%2B+38=3%2A9+%2B+38=27%2B38=65
the measure of the angle 5x+%2B+20=5%2A9+%2B+20=45%2B20=65
