made a mistake here
-28 not plus
-5x-2[2x-4x-28]-6
-5x-2[-2x-28]-6
-5x+4x+56-6
-1x+50
50-1x
simplified it is
50-x
-5x-2[2x-4x+28]-6
-5x-4x-8x+56-6
as for the 8x you made a mistake there too.
I added the 2x and the -4x to get -2x which gets multiplied by -2 and becomes +4x
let's say we did it your way.
-2*2x=-4x
-2*-4x=+8x
-4x+8x=4x

you multiplying by .....same as above...be careful with signs
