1. x^3-x^2-20x=0
x(x^2-x-20)=0
x(x-5)(x+4)=0
x=0 or x=5 or x=-4

2. 5x^2+3x=2
5x^2+3x-2=0
Use the quadratic formula to get:
x=[-3+sqrt(9-4*5*2)]/10 or x==[-3-sqrt(9-4*5*2)]/10
x=[-3+2sqrt10]/10 or x=[-3-2sqrt10]/10

3. x(x-5)=36
x^2-5x-36=0
(X-9)(X+4)=0
x=9 or x=-4
