You can put this solution on YOUR website!
√10-x=x-4
10-x=(x-4)2=x2-8x+16
x2-7x+6=0
(x-6)(x-1)=0
x=6 or 1
Throwing out 1, we get x=6..

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Just adding that if you plug in x = 1, you get

sqrt%2810-1%29=1-4

sqrt%289%29=-3

3=-3

which is clearly false. So this is why the previous tutor threw out the possible solution of 1. You do the same for the other possible solution and you'll see it works.
