6x%5E2%2B15x%2B-2x-5 Split the middle term into two terms that multiply to get -5%2A6x%5E2 or -30x%5E2 (this is the first term times the last term) and add or subtract to get 13x (the middle term). This is 15x and -2x
%286x%5E2%2B15x%29%2B%28-2x-5%29 Then separate the polynomial into two by using parentheses as shown
3x%282x%2B5%29%2B-1%282x%2B5%29 Find the greatest common factor of each polynomial and factor it out
%283x-1%29%282x%2B5%29 When you are distributing two different numbers to the same polynomial, you can combine the two different numbers into one binomial.
