To draw the graph of f(x) = -2x - 5 is same as plotting the straight line y = -2x - 5 on the graph paper [just replace f(x) with 'y'].
So we have to plot the straight line: y = -2x - 5.

When x=0, y=-5;
When x=5, y=-15;
When x=-5, y=5;

Thus you get three points: (0,-5), (5,-15) and (-5,5).
Join any two of these three points with a straight line with the aid of a ruler.
You will find that the third also lies on the straight line.
