Question 421440: I am homeschooled and I have worked on this problem for hours. My mom finally gave me the answer but I don't seem to know how to do the steps correctly to get the answer. If I put my work in here it would take up all the space, so here is the question and the answer. I need the steps.
25x^2 - 40xy + 16y^2, The answer is (5x - 4y)^2 but I can't get the steps.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
25x^2 - 40xy + 16y^2
=(5x)^2 - 2*5x*4y + (4y)^2
= (5x-4y)^2

because, we know that (a-b)^2 =a^2 -2ab + b^2

you can also use it....

25x^2 - 40xy + 16y^2
=25x^2 - 20xy -20xy + 16y^2
= 5x(5x-4y)- 4y(5x-4y)
= (5x-4y)(5x-4y)
