6[1/2x + 2/3 = 1/6] {multiplied entire equation by LCD, 6, to clear fractions}
6(1/2x) + 6(2/3) = 6(1/6) {multiplied each term by 6}
3x + 4 = 1 {cancelled and multiplied what's left}
3x = -3 {subtracted 4 from both sides}
x = -1 {divided both sides by 3}
