Question 407524: (x^2+6x+9)/(x^2-9) what numbers are excluded

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You CANNOT divide by zero. So this means that the denominator x%5E2-9 CANNOT be equal to zero. So if x%5E2-9 were zero, then x%5E2-9=0 and we'd find that x=3 or x=-3.

So if x=3 or x=-3, then the denominator is zero. This is not allowed. So we must make the restrictions that x cannot equal 3 or x cannot equal -3.
