Question 399466: How to solve: d=3t-2. Also,the problem asked as does a slope of a line represent a rate of change: Explain how the variable d is changing with respect to the variable t. This is some of my answer if I am wrong please correct me I would appreciate it. Concept of slope 3. y intercept -2 the variable t is negative. If a line is to the right it is positive, if it is to the left it is negative.

Hi
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
d=3t-2 Slope = 3 OR 3/1
does a slope of a line represent a rate of change? YES
as d increases/decreases by 3, t increases/decreases by 1
