 Write as we Read***

 (2/5)x + 8 = 2

 Solving for x

  2x + 40 = 10  Mulitplying all terms by 5 so as all denominators = 1

      2x = -30

       x = -15

  (2/5)-15 + 8 = -6 + 8 = 2
