5d%2B24=4 Combine like terms on the left side.


5d=4-24 Subtract 24 from both sides.


5d=-20 Combine like terms on the right side.


d=%28-20%29%2F%285%29 Divide both sides by 5 to isolate d.


d=-4 Reduce.
