You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3n%2B5=6 Start with the given equation.

3n=6-5 Subtract 5 from both sides.

3n=1 Combine like terms on the right side.

n=%281%29%2F%283%29 Divide both sides by 3 to isolate n.

Answer:

So the solution is n=1%2F3 which approximates to n=0.33333

From here you are trying to "Isolate the Variable" (Remember, always in algebra you do to one side what you would do to the other. Both sides are extremely important)
so your first step would be to subtract (-) the 5 from 3n+5-5=6-5
so it would show 3n = 1 then from there you divide by 3 to make "n" by its self so it shows 3n/3 = 1/3 (Again ALWAYS in Algebra no matter the circumstances, you always do to one side what you do to the other)
So then you divide that out and you get n = 1/3 OR .33333333333 repeating
