I have the velocity of light, its 186,000 miles per second.

I have the velocity of light, its 186,000 miles per second.
Divide 93,000,000 miles by 186,000 miles per second to get
the number of seconds it takes light from the sun to reach
the earth.
93 million/ 186000= 500 seconds
Convert 500 seconds to minutes by dividing by 60
500 seconds/ (60 sec per min) = 8.33333... minutes
