Question 341752: I am checking my answer to the following (the answer is not in the book):
A solution is 30% chlorine and another solution is 70% chlorine. How many liters of each solution should you use to make 150 liters of a solution that is 55% chlorine?
I wrote the equation like this:
.3x + .7(150-x)= .55(150)
I broke this down to x=56.25
56.25 Liters of 30% solution and 93.75 liters of 70% solution
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
---------------
That is correct.
