You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%28x%2B3%29%2F4=+2-%28x%2B4%29%2F3 Start with the given equation.

3%28x%2B3%29=+24-4%28x%2B4%29 Multiply every term by the LCD 12 to clear out the fractions.

3x%2B9=24-4x-16 Distribute.

3x%2B9=-4x%2B8 Combine like terms on the right side.

3x=-4x%2B8-9 Subtract 9 from both sides.

3x%2B4x=8-9 Add 4x to both sides.

7x=8-9 Combine like terms on the left side.

7x=-1 Combine like terms on the right side.

x=%28-1%29%2F%287%29 Divide both sides by 7 to isolate x.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer:

So the solution is x=-1%2F7 which approximates to x=-0.143.
