: i know conners age but i dont really know how to make this question an equation
Nathan has two brothers, Conner and Josh. If we add 2 to Conner’s age, it is exactly ½ the age of their older brother Josh, who is 12. How old is Conner?

Now we are given that josh age = 12 years
also, according to the condition in the question i.e. If we add 2 to Conner’s age, it is exactly ½ the age of their older brother Josh..we get the equation.
c + 2 = ( josh age )/ 2
now put the value of josh age in the equation and we get
c + 2 = 12/2
c + 2 = 6
subtract 2 from both sides and we get,,,
c = 4
therefore conner age = 4 years
