Your question cannot be answered as posed. There is no such thing as the equation of a line. That is because there are an infinite number of representations of any given line. However, if you use the two-point form of an equation of a line, you can find an equation of the desired line.

where and are the coordinates of the given points.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find m first
m=y-y%2Fx-x
%284%2B8%29%2F%28-6-3%29
12%2F-9
m=-4%2F3

put into y=mx%2Bb
and find b
-8=%28-4%2F3%293%2Bb
-8=-4%2Bb
-4=b

rewrite equation
y=%28-4%2F3%29x-4
get x and y on same side
3y=%28-4%29x-12
4x%2B3y=-12
