You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First convert to vertex form, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk, by completing the square.
f%28x%29=x%5E2%2B14x%2B47
f%28x%29=%28x%5E2%2B14x%2B49%29-2
f%28x%29=%28x%2B7%29%5E2-2
The vertex is located at (-7,-2).
Since the coefficient for the x%5E2 term is positive, the parabola opens upwards, and the vertex is a minimum.
The minimum value occurs at the vertex.
ymin=-2
