2. Diagonal of a square = sqrt%282%2ASide%5E2%29
Let us take the length of each side of the square as x meters
Area of the square = 40 sq mt
Therefore x%5E2 = 40
Therefore length of the diagonal = sqrt%282%2Ax%5E2%29
= sqrt%282%2A40%29
= sqrt%2880%29
= 4%2Asqrt%285%29 mts
