You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Just move the numbers around so that y would be on one side of the equation and everything else would be on the other:
6x - 4y = 12
-4y = -6x + 12
Divide everything by -4:
y+=+%28-6x%2B12%29%2F-4
This yields:
y+=+%283%2F2%29x+-+3
Which makes m = 3%2F2 and b = -3 in y = mx + b form
