You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need to ask the right question.
The answer to your question is "it is an equation in one variable"
Perhaps you want the value of t.
6t+30=48
6t=18
t=3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

%226%28t%2B5%29%22=48

means:

6%2A%28t%2B5%29=48

Use the distributive principle to remove the parentheses:

6%2At%2B6%2A5=48

Six times five is thirty, so you put 30 in place of 6%2A5

6t%2B30=48

Subtract 30 from both sides:

6t%2B30-30=48-30

Erase %22%2B30-30%22 since that is zero
Replace 48-30 with 18

6t=18

Divide both sides by 6

%286t%29%2F6=18%2F6

Cancel the 6's on the left and divide the 18 by the 6 on the right,
so replace 18%2F6 by 3:

%28cross%286%29t%29%2Fcross%286%29=3

t=3

That's the answer. To check it, we substitute 3 for t
in the original equation:

6%2A%28t%2B5%29=48
6%2A%28%283%29%2B5%29=48
6%2A%283%2B5%29=48
6%2A%288%29=48
6%2A8=48
48=48

Both sides are the same so we know the answer is correct.
