here is the problem:
(i) 2%28a-8%29%2B7=5%28a%2B2%29-3a-19
step 1 - distribute on teh left and right side to get
(ii) 2a-16%2B7+=+5a+%2B+10+-+3a+-+19
step 2 - combine like terms on the left and the right to get
(iii) 2a+-+9+=+2a+-9
Notice that both sides are the same. They are "an identity". This means that we have all real numbers as our solution.
