First of all subtract 14from both sides;
34-14=14+ 1%2F4p-14
20=1%2F4p
Now you are going to multiply each side by the reciprocal of 1%2F4, which is 4%2F1;
20%284%2F1%29=1%2F4p%284%2F1%29
80=p
