Question 243090: solve
3(x-6)+6=5(x+2)-4

Answer by rapaljer(4671) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3(x-6)+6=5(x+2)-4
3x-18+6=5x+10-4
3x-12=5x+6

Subtract 5x from each side:
3x-5x-12=5x-5x+6
-2x-12=6

Add +12 to each side:
-2x-12+12=6+12
-2x=18

Divide by -2:
%28-2x%29%2F-2=18%2F-2
x=-9
