You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-16.3-m=21.4
add 16.3
-m=37.7
multiply through by -1
m=-37.7

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve using the addition principle:

-16.3+-+m+=+21.4+

Step 1. Add 16.3 to both sides of the equation to get only numbers on one side and variables on the other side.

-16.3-m%2B16.3=21.4%2B16.3

-m=37.7

Step 2. To get a positive m add m-37.7 to both sides of the equation.

-m%2Bm-37.7=37.7%2Bm-37.7

-37.7=m

Step 3. Check and substitute solution m=37.7 into original equation

-16.3+-+m+=+21.4+

-16.3-%28-37.7%29=21.4

-16.3%2B37.7=21.4

21.4=21.4 which is a true statement.

Step 4. Solution is m=37.7.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
