How would you simplify 5%28n+%2B+2%29=10

Step 1. Multiply out to get ride of the parenthesis.

5n%2B10=10

Step 2. Subtract 10 from both sides of the equation

5n%2B10-10=10-10

5n=0

n=0

Step 3. Substitute solution n=0 with original equation 5%28n+%2B+2%29=10 if it leads to a true statement.

5%280%2B2%29=10

10=10 which is a true statement.

Step 4. ANSWER: Solution is n=0.
