Oct 15 7Am, On review of yesterdays problems, I am sorry to say that I really screwed this one up, making it not only complicated. but totally wrong. I will try to correct this gross error
:
roast should be cooked for 45 minutes plus 10 minutes for every pound the roast weighs.
If a roast is properly cooked in 3 hours, how much did it weigh?
:
Coverting 3 hrs to 180 min
Let x = weight of the roast
:
A simple equation
10x + 45 = 180
10x = 180 - 45
10x = 135
x = 135%2F10
x = 13.5 lb
:
:
Check: 13.5(10) + 45 = 180 min
"
Easy, right? What was I thinking! Hope no last damage has been there, Carl
